Make Extra Money
These are a list of ways that you could use to help get some extra cash. They are aimed a people who are too young to get a full time job, although people with a full time job could also use them.
The List
- Babysitting - Got a younger brother or sister? Are there younger kids in your neighbourhood? Then offer to baby-sit for them, most people will pay you a certain amount of money for doing so. I have tried babysitting myself and have earned up to £30 in one night. You could also put an advertisement in your local newspaper to advertise your babysitting services.
- Selling stuff - If you have old 'junk' lying around your house that you don't need/want anymore you could sell it, e.g. on eBay, at a car boot sale etc. My sister has tried this and earned a lot of money for her old Pokemon cards.
- Asking parents/neighbours - Ask them if they have any little jobs you could do for some extra cash, e.g. washing the car, walking the dog etc. Babysitting could also come into this as well. I have tried this by doing my mum’s household jobs, e.g. cleaning, washing clothes, ironing etc.
- Get a part time job - This can earn you quite a bit of money depending on how old you are, if you are too young to get a part time job you could also try a paper round.
- Volunteer - Offer to help out at local events/charities, however, you may not always get paid for doing so but it is a useful thing to put down on a CV later on as it shows you have experience.
Here is a list of ways to budget your money.
I hope these suggestions have helped you.
