Favicon? The favicon is an image of the tattoo that I have on my lower back.
Reason for name? I don't think it's too odd me choosing "Chimmyville", my nickname is Chimmy (Chimmykins) and this my home (ville) on the web.
Language: This site is written in Uk, English. If you find spellings like "realise", "cosy", "catalogue", "colour" etc they are correct for UK, English and therefore not a mistake. (I've had a fair few visitors debating the spellings with me).

Coding & Site History.

I first got into designing websites just before I started year 10 at school, I had seen all these websites people had made and decided I wanted to make one too. My first website was a fan site for 'Seann William Scott', which I have lost the URL for now. I then went on to creating mini sites about me and my friends that I never completed and ended up deleting. My "second" website was also a fan site for the TV programme 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', and was coded in tables with a very simple layout. It was hosted on Geocities and still exists today, except I don't update it much anymore, I coded the site using 'Geocities Advanced HTML Editor', using HTML coding I had learnt from Lissa Explains and through my I.T. lessons in school.

I also took an I.C.T. course at college, which included a web design module. This course furthered my HTML knowledge and first introduced me to frames and forms.

This site originally started out as a doll site and was inspired by popular doll sites at the time, e.g. angelkizz. To begin with the site was coded using frames which I had learned from my I.C.T college lessons but quickly changed to be coded in Iframes instead as I liked how easy they made it to update the website. In September 2006, I decided to get rid of my doll themed site and transform it into a "personal blog" site, which is the site you see up today. The site is now coded by Div Layers and CSS.

Hosting History.

This site was originally hosted by my friend Mike who owns a hosting site 1clickwebsite, formaly Stataco.com with the name http://kimmyc.cjb.net/. After a while though I was using up too much of his bandwidth and he asked if I'd be willing to pay for the hosting and for the domain http://kimmyc.cjb.net/ at a reasonable price which of course I said yes too. I would definatly recommend 1clickwebsite's hosting, as their prices are really good and they offer great support. This site can also be accessed by the domain http://www.chimmykins-numbangel.co.uk which was purchased at 1and1.co.uk.

My domain name has now been changed to Chimmyville.co.uk, which was purchased from 1clickwebsite domain names. The site is re-directed to from http://www.chimmykins-numbangel.co.uk. The website is still hosted by 1clickwebsite.

Technical Information & Accessibility:

This site is optimized for both Firefox, Internet Explorer and AOL Browsers running on Windows XP, but has also been tested using browser shots in Safari, Opera and Netscape. This site is as of 06 Nov 2007 valid XHTML Transitional, but I am only human so if you spot any mistakes, please let me know. As of the 16th July 2007, all the skins on this site are validated CSS. The sites loading time is frequently tested using webwait, so it should load quickly whether you are on broadband or dial-up. For those of you who may be using a mobile phone to access this site, this website will also work with styles turned off i.e. with minimal images and is essentially plain black and white.
