My style
Emo, Punk, Goth, Greebo, Indie. All these are labels that have been used to describe me and the style I choose to wear, none of which are necessarily true or un-true either. I wear what I like and don't really care what other people think, having said that I do like to look 'nice' and am rather self conscious about various parts of my body when it comes to choosing clothes mainly my stomach and thighs. I don't follow 'trends' unless I happen to really like the item that is 'trendy' at the time, but I will wear it again once the 'trend' is over. I wear it because I like it not because it is cool to wear it at the time.
My wardrobe consists of the obvious clothing essentials, e.g. jeans, plain t-shirts, jumpers etc but also items that are unique to me. My favourite being t-shirts based on 80's retro TV show and movies that I used to watch all the time when I was growing up, e.g. 'Fraggle Rock', as well as a lot of items with skulls, crosses and butterflies on them. I am also a big fan of hoodies and hooded jumpers (both with and without zips - I'm not fussed), most of mine are black as this is my favourite clothing colour.
Aside from a huge collection of t-shirts and hoodies I also love to wear jeans and the occasional mini-dress/skirt when it suits me (mostly when I'm going out or when it is a really hot summer's day). Having said that my selection of skirts, trousers etc is rather limited compared to that of my tops.
When it comes to accessories and make-up I tend to go with the less is more approach except when it comes to bracelets. I can often be found with my wrists full of them, Rob even asked me once to fill up my wrists as much as I could (a picture of this will come soon). I only tend to wear make-up when I am going out which is usually eye shadow, mascara and eye liner. I also paint my fingernails (and toenails if I'm wearing open-toed shoes).
I'm not a big scarf or hat fan although I do have a fair few of both, I do love belts though! I have loads of them most are studded or have skulls on them.
When it comes to shoes my favourite styles of shoes are wedges, courts and sandals but my ultimate shoe has to be a good old fashioned comfy trainer. Having worked in a shoe shop for three years my shoe collection has been greatly added too.
I can usually be found browsing round 'New Look', 'Next' and 'Dorothy Perkins' 'Claires', as well as other less well known shops e.g. 'QS'. I also tend to go into the more alternate back street shops as well, e.g. Trinket Box and Blue Banana - Local shops that I'm constantly going in, they sell a range of alternative clothing, accessories and various other gifts.
Aside from "high street" shopping I also do a lot of my shopping on-line in various places including Ebay.
